Kyle O’Reilly & Von Wagner To Face Imperium At NXT WarGames For The Tag Titles

Kyle O’Reilly and Von Wagner will challenge Imperium for the NXT Tag Team Championship at NXT WarGames. On the November 30 episode of WWE NXT 2.0, the unlikely challengers defeated Legado del Fantasma (Raul Mendoza and Joaquin Wilde) to earn the title shot.

Tthe announcers focused on Wagner’s inexperience, and LDF had control of the match at various points, but it was ultimately Wagner who sacrificed his body in favor for a series of heavy duty double teams that gave the underdogs the momentum. In the end, Wagner also scored the pinfall victory.

After the match, O’Reilly and Wagner confronted the champions backstage and traded some verbal barbs with the champions to hype up their match at the pay-per-view.
