Bryan Danielson Teases Vision Of His Stable In AEW, Names Daniel Garcia As A Potential Member

For the most part, Bryan Danielson has focused on his pursuit of the AEW World Championship since he joined Tony Khan’s promotion, but in a preview of his future, “The American Dragon” hinted that he wants to build a stable of young stars, like Chris Jericho’s Inner Circle.

During an interview with Scott Fishman of TV Insider, Danielson expressed his interest in helping a rising star reach the next level and named Sammy Guevara’s ascension through the Inner Circle as an example. The former world champion then named Daniel Garcia as a someone that could fill this role in his potential group.

“If I can get a group together, I’m thinking of a younger talent or two, and that develops into stories within that,” said Danielson. “Look at Sammy Guevara and Chris Jericho. By Sammy joining the Inner Circle, he’d become a bigger star. He then stepped up to the plate and hit home runs. That’s how you build young stars. A guy that comes to mind for me is Daniel Garcia.”

As for his other goals, “The American Dragon” made it clear that he wants to make AEW programming “must-see television,” and he described his hope to leave fans feeling as if they were tuning into “Game of Thrones”; he wants to make viewers feel like they have to come back week after week to follow the stories that continue to unfold.

“The one show my wife and I couldn’t stop watching was “Game of Thrones,” said Danielson. “It just made you come back every week. Helping AEW, I want to help that need for viewers to come back every week. I think they’ve already created the best wrestling product in the United States than we’ve seen in years. Helping to get more fans watching and give the feeling like it’s must-see television every week. Those are my over-arching goals, not only for this year, but the three years I’m here.”

Having a star of Danielson’s caliber, combined with a name like CM Punk, among many others, should help AEW accomplish this mission sooner rather than later, but time will tell how AEW Dynamite viewership continues to progress.
