When The Miz and Maryse returned to WWE last week, “The A-Lister” got into a heated argument with Edge. Now, the two will face off at WWE Day 1 to settle their differences.
On the December 6 episode of WWE RAW, The Miz welcomed fans back to another episode of Miz TV and promptly berated his guest, Edge, by calling him a shell of his former self before he called the WWE Hall of Famer out. “The Rated-R Superstar” came to the ring and traded verbal barbs with his new foe. “The Ultimate Opportunist” criticized The Miz automatically he was a bigger star than everybody else, while the former WWE Champion insulted Edge for being a hypocrite.
As tensions reached a boiling point, The Miz challenged Edge to a match at WWE Day 1, and the veteran accepted.
With the match set, there are now three confirmed matches for WWE’s Day 1, and the updated card is as follows:
- WWE Championship: Big E (c) vs. Seth Rollins vs. Kevin Owens
- WWE Universal Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Brock Lesnar
- WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship: The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso) (c) vs. The New Day (King Woods & Kofi Kingston)
- Edge vs. The Miz
