Big E: In Many Ways, 2021 Has Been ‘The Best Year Of My Life’

2021 has been a huge year for Big E, as he reached new levels of stardom and won the WWE Championship in the process.

After grinding for years throughout a variety of roles in the WWE, Big E is finally succeeding in a major way on his own, while he’s still retaining many of the distinct characteristics that have made him one of the most beloved Superstars in WWE.

In a new interview with The Sun, The Powerhouse of Positivity explained how the past 12 months have produced one of the best years of his life.

“I know within me that I’m ready for this and can do everything in front of me,” Big E said. “In many ways, this year of being aged 35, has been the best year of my life…As busy as I’ve been, and it can be tiring and you have sleepless nights, I’m having so much fun. Being able to be part of Fury vs Wilder, to walk out Shawn Porter in his last fight ever… doing all of these incredible things… the WWE Championship has been like a passport to me to open up all of these doors and I’m extremely grateful for that.”

The reigning WWE Champion also touched on the fact that he doesn’t believe that he would have been able to handle this level of success, and the responsibilities it comes with, had it happened to him earlier in his career.

“But in the same vein, I think maybe if I had won the title a few years ago it maybe would have worn on me more mentally, but I’m someone who in every interview at some point I’m talking about meditation,” Big E said. “That has been a godsend for me and I think that I’ve really learned to do a better job of being in the moment and present.”
