FTR: The Briscoes Think Swearing In Promos Will Get Them Over, But It Shows A Lack Of Creativity

FTR is more than ready to step into the ring with the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Champions, The Briscoes.

FTR were recent guests on Rasslin’ with Brandon F Walker to discuss all things AEW, and how they might have some future opponents outside of the company. When asked about The Briscoes calling them out on social media, FTR had a humorous response.

“Yeah, I saw that you saw that too,” FTR’s Dax Harwood began. “But I thought it was funny because they like to use a lot of colorful language, and that’s the thing. They think it’s gonna get them over with the internet and with the fans, and they think, ‘Oh, I’m a great promo, so I’m gonna say f-ck and sh-t, and God damn it, let’s say it all so we can get a rise out of people.’ I’m not a big advocate of that. Because if those are the words you got to say to drum up a response from people, then you have no creativity. You know what I’m saying? That means yeah, let’s take the easy way out, and let’s just say f-ck and sh-t.”

“I just thought it was funny he said tired of the Twitter bullshit, and then they posted it to Twitter dot com,” Cash Wheeler said, chiming in.

“These guys they have like a rough image and a rough look, and they’ve always played the big fish in a small pond kind of thing,” Dax Harwood continued. “And they’ve got a reputation for being these tough guys. We’re kind of laid back North Carolinians, but I tell you, I promise to God and heaven as he’s watching over me right now if they ever step to me, I promise you we’ll beat the shit out of them. And I did say shit because it’s not a promo, so I don’t care about being creative. We’ll beat the shit out of them.”
