Darius Martin Provides Update On ACL Injury

All Elite Wrestling‘s Darius Martin suffered an unfortunate ACL injury earlier this year and underwent surgery in April to begin his road to recovery.

Darius Martin of Top Flight was the most recent guest on One-On-One with Jon Alba on AdFreeShows.com to discuss all things AEW. When the subject of his ACL injury was brought up, Martin talked about where he’s at recovery-wise and admitted that you never want to be injured, but he’s thankful that it occurred while being under contract:

“I’m feeling pretty good. Just moving around, taking it day-by-day and trying to get the clearance, working my way up and building up the strength again,” Martin said. “You never want injuries. But honestly, I’m thankful it came at a time when I’m fortunate enough to have this deal with AEW. AEW has been great to me during it, and I just really feel all the love and support from them. I’ve been fortunate enough to have that by me at least.”

When asked how All Elite Wrestling has helped him work through this ACL injury, Darius Martin revealed that he’s still on the road for the company and put over how great Tony Khan is as a boss:

“I’m still on the road. They’ve still been paying me, and I’m still lucky enough to have that job and financial security because of AEW. It’s just a great place, and Tony Khan is an amazing boss who really values his employees and treats us as human beings. I’m sure you’ve heard a lot, but Tony’s the best.”

Jon Alba’s interview with Darius Martin is now available for AdFreeShows.com Patreon subscribers, and it will be available to the public on the AFS YouTube channel on Saturday.
