One WWE Superstar will have a very Merry Christmas, as a 12-man Gauntlet Match has been announced for the Christmas Eve episode of WWE SmackDown.
On December 24, 12 stars will compete in what Adam Pearcce and Sonya Deville coined the “12 Days of Christmas” gauntlet match. They announced the bout on the December 17 episode in an effort to appease Sami Zayn, who threatened to sue the duo and everyone else involved in the “conspiracy” that led to his loss to WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns earlier this month.
It’s clear that Zayn will compete in the gauntlet match, where the winner will earn a shot at WWE Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura, but additional participants were not announced.
