Eddie Kingston Comments On Missing DEFY ‘Dark Horse’ Event On 12/18

Eddie Kingston promises to make it to the “Emerald City” in 2022.

DEFY Wrestling hosted its “Dark Horse” event this weekend, but Eddie Kingston was unable to appear on the show. On Saturday, it was announced that Kingston was having travel issues, and he would no longer be able to appear in his advertised “Seattle Street Fight” match against Schaff.

On Monday, Kingston issued a statement and revealed that his appearance didn’t happen due to coming in contact with someone that tested positive for COVID-19, and he promised to make it back to the Pacific Northwest next year.

“So @defyNW I was exposed to someone who tested positive for covid, so I didn’t want to take any risk until I got cleared and I am. I promise to get to Seattle 2022,” Kingston wrote.

Kingston has appeared in DEFY before, including in October when he faced off with Rocky Romero at the promotion’s “Hell Bent” event in Los Angeles. Kingston also worked DEFY Dangerous in Portland that month, teaming with Brody King against Ethan HD & Schaff in a No Disqualification, Tornado Tag Rules match.

DEFY’s “Dark Horse” event also saw Christopher Daniels win the promotion’s interim world title and appearances from the Bollywood Boyz and Levi Cooper (fka WWE’s Tucker Knight).
