WWE NXT 2.0 viewership increased on December 21, but the key demographic rating took a hit.
According to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, 591,000 viewers watched the show on Tuesday night, which is up from last week, when 561,000 viewers watched the show. But the rating in the 18 to 49 demographic dipped; Tuesday’s episode scored a 0.11 rating (148,000 viewers), which is down from the previous week’s 0.13 rating (176,000 viewers).
NXT ranked #46 among cable originals for the day in P18-49.
The show faced unusual competition as Fox aired an NFL game in primetime, which did a 3.78 P18-49 rating and was watched by 14.9 million viewers, according to Showbuzz Daily.

Thurston, citing Showbuzz Daily‘s numbers, noted that NXT ranked forty-sixth among cable originals in the key demographic on Tuesday, and it faced more competition due to the NFL’s scheduling changes.
This week’s show featured Dakota Kai taking on Raquel Gonzalez in a Street Fight a main-event match in which Pete Dunne clashed with Tony D’Angelo. Several matches for the NXT New Year’s Evil special were set up on Tuesday. Plus, former WWE Champion AJ Styles also made a special appearance.
