Ric Flair gives credit to one of his former rivals for drawing over 1 million viewers for the most recent episode of AEW Dynamite, but Sting is a little more humble.

The Holiday Bash episode of AEW Dynamite was the first episode to draw over 1 million viewers for AEW in several weeks. The main event featured Sting, wrestling in Greensboro, North Carolina, alongside CM Punk and Darby Allin against MJF and FTR.

Sting first made a name for himself in 1988 wrestling Ric Flair in Greensboro, North Carolina, at the first ever Clash of the Champions event. Now, all these years later, Ric Flair is crediting Sting on Twitter for having drawn the rating.

Congratulations @Sting! I’ve Been Telling The World, When You’re Great You’ll Always Get A Rating! Everyone Else Can Dare To Dream! WOOOOO! You Just Became At The Age Of 62, The MVP Of @AEW!

Sting, in his reply, was more humble saying it was all six men that drew the rating with CM Punk leading the pack.

Love you Ric, but giving credit where credit is due – all 6 of us drew a rating and @CMPunk leads the pack.

Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite also featured the debut of Kyle O’Reilly and the completion of the formation of the original Undisputed ERA trio in AEW less than one year after their split on NXT television.
