This week’s episode was the go-home show for the WWE Day 1 pay-per-view on Saturday. The company has been hit hard by the ongoing COVID-19 surge over the past few days, and the impact was evident on Monday night. RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch didn’t appear on the show. Both WWE Champion Big E and Seth Rollins, who will compete in the WWE Championship match at the pay-per-view, only appeared on a pre-taped video message. Several other Superstars were also absent on Monday night, so the company clearly had to pivot from its planned lineup.
