CM Punk Says Tim Tebow Got Caught In The Crossfire, Explains Why He Didn’t Mention Urban Meyer On AEW Dynamite

Believe it or not, CM Punk actually loves Tim Tebow.

All Elite Wrestling’s CM Punk recently spoke with The Schmo to discuss a variety of topics. When asked about his shot on Tim Tebow Wednesday on AEW Dynamite and why he didn’t call out Urban Meyer, CM Punk had a lot to say.

“Hey, listen. Poor Tebow, he got caught in the crossfire,” CM Punk said. “I love Tebow. I respect everything he did; going back and playing baseball for the Mets farm team, I think, is commendable. I think the dude’s an amazing athlete. I’m just — when I’m on TV like even if I’m a good guy, I’m a bad guy. So, Tebow, I love you. You just got caught in the crossfire.

“Urban Meyer, I think, is a little bit much of a — he’s too much of a hot topic right now. There might be some bad blood between the Khans and Urban, so I don’t want to put that on the table. I’ve mellowed out my old age. You know what I mean? Normally, I would just attack, but yeah, I’m a little bit more chill nowadays.”

It was probably wise of CM Punk not to bring up Urban Meyer as the former coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Khans certainly don’t seem to be on the best of terms right now.

For those that missed it, CM Punk cut a promo on MJF and referred to him as “a bigger waste of Khan money than Tim Tebow” was. Tebow, the former University Of Florida quarterback, played for five teams during his NFL career. He made a comeback attempt in May 2021 with the Jacksonville Jaguars, who are owned by the Khan family. Tebow was brought in as a tight end but ultimately got cut in August and did not record a catch during the preseason.
