Road Dogg Brian James Comments On WWE Release

Road Dogg says he’s doing OK and knows it’s just business.

On Wednesday, WWE released a number of coaches and trainers and that list included Road Dogg Brian James. Now, James has commented on being cut from the company, posting the following on his Facebook page:

Guys, I’m doing well and I thank you for all the love. I’m gonna take a few days for my self and process this. God is still on the throne and will provide. It’s just business!

WWE issued the following statement about the latest wave of releases:

“With the continued evolution of NXT 2.0, we’ve decided to part ways with some of the staff based in our Performance Center. We thank them for their many contributions throughout the years and wish them the best.”

Road Dogg had a role backstage in WWE since 2014 where he worked as a producer, lead writer for SmackDown and coach at the WWE Performance Center. He also had a brief run as a producer starting in 2011 before he returned to the ring a few months later.
