AEW Battle For The Belts Results

Interim AEW TNT Championship

Dustin Rhodes v Sammy Guevara

Dustin hits a shoulder tackle before Sammy rebounds with an armdrag, then Sammy talks some trash and both retreat to their respective corners. Sammy showboats a bit before Dustin connects with a dropdown uppercut, then Sammy floats over for a near fall before Dustin hooks the top rope to avoid running into a strike. Sammy goes outside and Arn Anderson flips him off, then Dustin unloads with several chops to the chest before Sammy slams his head into the barricade. Dustin stuns Sammy with a piledriver on the floor, then gets back in the ring and follows with a spinning powerslam for two.

Dustin throws some chops in the corner and connects with some mounted punches, then Sammy fights back and sends Dustin out to the floor. Sammy connects with a double springboard somersault dive on the floor, then he gets back in the ring and goes for a second one but Dustin surprises him with Cross Rhodes for another near fall. Dustin pulls himself up in the corner and heads up top, but Sammy hits him in the back and connects with a GTH for two. Dustin narrowly kicked out, then Fuego Del Sol appears and sets up a table, but Arn Anderson chases him up the ramp.

Dustin and Sammy then fight on the apron before Dustin connects with a Canadian Destroyer through the table on the floor. Dustin gets a two count, then he hits two consecutive Cross Rhodes and goes for a Tiger Driver. Sammy superkicks him and knocks him down, then we get a few reversed rollup attempts before Sammy hooks Dustin for the win.

Winner and NEW Interim TNT Champion — Sammy Guevara

David Crockett presents the title to Sammy, then Dustin congratulates him on the win. Daniel Garcia then runs in the ring and attacks Sammy before the referees break it up. After the break, Sammy tells Tony Schiavone that he’s issuing an open challenge, and wants Daniel Garcia on Dynamite this week.

FTW Championship

Ricky Starks (c) v Matt Sydal

Sydal gets right in Starks’ face and strikes him a few times, getting a quick one-count pin attempt. Sydal throws a few more kicks to the thighs of Starks, who rebounds and charges the corner. Sydal floats over and sends Starks to the floor, but Powerhouse Hobbs stops him from doing any more damage. Sydal finally gets a hold of Starks and chops him at the bottom of the ramp. The action gets back in the ring, and Sydal connects with a Lightning Spiral for two before heading up top. Sydal connects with Meteora and hooks the leg, but Starks gets a foot on the ropes to break the count. Starks comes back with a spear and hits Ro-Sham-Bo, then makes the cover.

Winner and STILL FTW Champion – Ricky Starks

Starks attacks Sydal in the corner after the bell, then Lee Moriarty runs out for the save. Hobbs levels him with a clothesline, then Dante Martin runs out and avoids a chokebomb from Hobbs, then dropkicks him out of the ring.

AEW Women’s World Championship

Riho v Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D (c) (with Rebel and Jamie Hayter)

Riho goes for a dive on Baker, but hits Rebel instead. Baker then attacks Riho from behind and tells Hayter to get a table, but Riho breaks free and uses the table to hit a step-up dropkick on Hayter. Baker takes Riho down with Sling Blade and taunts the crowd, then motions to Hayter before she gets a near fall on Riho. Baker whips Riho into the corner and presses her boot against Riho’s throat and follows with a snap suplex into the middle of the ring.

Riho makes a comeback by connecting with a tiger feint kick, then she applies a bridged chinlock but Baker makes it to the ropes. Riho heads up top but Rebel pulls Baker to the apron and shields her, but Riho decides to jump anyway and takes Rebel out with a double foot stomp. Riho goes for the double stomp on Baker, who rolls out of the way, and Baker hits Air Raid Crash for a two count. Baker calls for her glove for Lock Jaw, but Riho sidesteps it and lays in with some right hands. Britt counters a dragon suplex with a slam on the mat, and she once again goes for Lock Jaw but Riho makes it to the ropes.

Rebel and Hayter interfere behind the ref’s back as Baker goes for the move once again, but Riho counters and rolls through for a near fall. Baker connects with a Curb Stomp for two, then Hayter throws the belt in the ring while Rebel climbs on the apron. The referee throws Rebel out of the match, and Baker and Hayter argue before Riho throws Baker into Hayter and follows with a Northern Lights suplex for two. Riho goes for a rollup but Baker kicks her in the face, then she follows with another thrust kick for two before making Riho tap out to Lock Jaw to retain.

Winner and STILL AEW Women’s Champion – Britt Baker
