AEW Battle of the Belts performs well in its first outing on TNT.
AEW presented its first Battle of the Belts on Saturday, January 8, 2022, on the TNT Network. According to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, the special drew was watched by 704,000 viewers. In the key demographic of persons aged 18-49, the show drew a 0.27 rating with 355,000 viewers . In comparison, Rampage the night before on TNT was watched by 588,000 viewers and did a 0.24 P18-49 rating.
The show was built around a World Title bout between Riho and Britt Baker. An Interim TNT Title Match between Sammy Guevara and Dustin Rhodes crowned “The Spanish God” and set up an immediate defense for him against Daniel Garcia.
