NWA Powerrr Results (1/11/22): Matt Cardona Makes In-Ring Debut

The National Wrestling Alliance delivered a buzzworthy edition of NWA Powerrr on January 11.

In a star-studded main event, Matt Cardona and Mike Knox teamed up to face Strictly Business and NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Trevor Murdoch and Tim Storm in a three-way tag team bout. Plus, Tyrus defended the NWA World Television Championship.

Kiera Hogan defeated Jennacide (with Taryn Terrell), Kenzie Paige and Christi Jaynes to earn a shot at the NWA World Women’s Championship
Backstage, The OGK was backstage with the NWA World Tag Team Champions, La Rebelion. Homicide insults The OGK and wonders what they’re doing in the NWA. Matt Taven and Mike Bennett emphasize their goal to challenge for the titles, but the champions turned them down. The confrontation got heated, and it stopped just short of a brawl.
In an interview, Jax Dane started talking some trash and teased a rematch with Anthony Mayweather (Crimson). He insulted NWA legends and turned his attention to Rodney Mack, Jazz’s husband.

In an interview, Cyon dismissed the importance of his past, though it’s been established that his father is a former NWA champion father. That’s why he wears a mask, as he wants to prove himself as an individual. Cyon made it clear that he plans to make it to the top.

Matt Cardona & Mike Knox defeated Strictly Business (Thom Latimer & NWA National Champion Chris Adonis) & NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Trevor Murdoch & Tim Storm when Cardona pinned Storm
