The Briscoes’ Open Challenge For GCW Tag Titles Set For ‘The WRLD On GCW’, Updated Card

At Game Changer Wrestling‘s sold-out show at the Hammerstein Ballroom on January 23, The Briscoes will defend the GCW World Tag Team Championship.

Mark and Jay Briscoe threw down the gauntlet for “The WRLD On GCW” after they retained the gold against The Rejects (John Wayne Murdoch & Reed Bentley) at the promotion’s “Say You Will” show on January 16. It’s currently unclear who will answer the call, but The Briscoes have been feuding with FTR on social media for several weeks now, so they might be an early favorite at this point.

Mark and Jay won the gold at GCW War Ready, and they’ve already successfully defended the titles several times.

“The WRLD On GCW” is shaping up to be a big show, as it will also feature Jon Moxley’s in-ring return among other major bouts.

The current card is as follows:

  • GCW World Championship: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Homicide
  • GCW World Tag Team Championship: The Briscoe Brothers (c) vs. TBA
  • Joey Janela vs. Matt Cardona (with Chelsea Green)
  • Allie Katch vs Ruby Soho
  • ROH World Championship: Jonathan Gresham (c) vs. Blake Christian
  • Team Bandido vs Team Gringo
