Jeff Jarrett vs. EFFY Set For ‘The WRLD On GCW’, Updated Card

Is “the man” coming around? It certainly seems like that’s the case when it comes to Jeff Jarrett‘s response to EFFY‘s challenge to a showdown at Game Changer Wrestling’s “The WRLD On GCW” show.

On January 17, EFFY threw down the gauntlet for a showdown at the event on January 23. A few hours later, Jarrett responded by quoting Johnny Cash’s “When The Man Comes Around.”

The lines the WWE Hall of Famer quoted certainly seem to suggest that he’s coming around to face EFFY on Sunday:

The two popular stars have been feuding for several weeks now. First, Jarrett smashed his signature guitar over EFFY’s head at GCW’s “Die 4 This” event on New Year’s Day. He then gave Allie Katch’s the same treatment at GCW Say You Will on January 15 to send the former Internet Champion a heated message. During his challenge for the former world champion, EFFY also called Jarrett a “clout vampire”, so it’s clear that this rivalry has become a bitter war.

Update: Shortly after Jarrett’s response, GCW confirmed that the two foes will face each other on January 23:

  • Original ROH World Championship: Jonathan Gresham (c) vs. Blake Christian
  • Brass Ring Ladder Match: Participants TBA
  • Psycho Clown and B-Boy announced
  • Team Gringo (Gringo Loco, Arez, and Demonic Flamita) vs. Team Bandido (Bandido, Laredo Kid, and ASF)
