Report: Eddie Kingston Currently Injured, Dealing With Fractured Orbital Bone

AEW star Eddie Kingston is currently dealing with an injury, so he’ll be forced to spend some time away from the ring.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that “The Mad King” is recovering from a fractured orbital one. As far as Kingston’s recovery, Meltzer notes that the AEW star “hopes” his absence will be limited to about three weeks. Per PWInsider, AEW President/General Manager Tony Khan shared the news at the AEW Dark taping on January 15, but he didn’t specify what injury Kingston is sidelined with.

Kingston hasn’t had a match since the January 11 episode of AEW Dark, which was taped on January 8; he defeated Joey Janela and subsequently remained on AEW programming to further his storyline with Chris Jericho, Proud ‘n’ Powerful, Daniel Garcia, and 2point0.

“The Mad King” had been scheduled for The WRLD On GCW event on January 23, but the company never confirmed his match for the show.

WrestleZone will provide more details as they become available.
