MVP says fans in St. Louis will witness a battle between two behemoths.
MVP was a recent guest on Out Of Character with Ryan Satin and offered a preview of the WWE Championship match between his client, Bobby Lashley, and current reigning and defending champion Brock Lesnar.
“It’s like redemption,” he said, regarding Lashley finally getting a match with Lesnar. “I mean, let’s just cut to the chase. Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley is that matchup for the ages that everybody has wanted to see for the longest time. In professional wrestling, across all the companies, there aren’t a whole lot of dream matches left of this magnitude. And to be able to finally get “The All Mighty” Bobby Lashley and “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar head-to-head straight up is something that, I mean, most wrestling fans have been craving for a really long time. And I know it’s something that Bobby has wanted for a long time.”
MVP went on to praise Lesnar’s athleticism and success in mixed martial arts, then said that fans are going to be watching a battle that’s usually reserved for Godzilla films.
“There’s nobody on the planet like Brock Lesnar, except Bobby Lashley,” said MVP. “And I say Bobby Lashley is the Yin to Brock’s Yang. You know, you take that and you put Bobby Lashley across from Brock, and in terms of athletic specimens and legitimate backgrounds and ability, I don’t think anybody else in our industry, much less on the planet, could match up with Brock besides Bobby Lashley. So this redemption, to finally get here and have this clash of the titans, these two kaijus, to be able to tear down Tokyo, or in this case St. Louis is something I think we’ve all been looking forward to.”
Bobby Lashley vs. Brock Lesnar will take place at the Royal Rumble on Saturday, January 29.
