Laredo Kid Confirms He Has Signed With IMPACT Wrestling

Laredo Kid has signed with IMPACT Wrestling.

The AAA star confirmed the news in interviews with both Darren Paltrowitz and Lucha Libre Online.

In his interview with Paltrowitz, Laredo Kid discussed his goals for his time with the company and stated that he’s targeting the X-Division Championship.

“Yes, my goal is to try [to] fight for that belt [X Division Title] because [when] I started in the wrestling business, I saw all the wrestlers that go for the X Division like AJ Styles and all [those] wrestlers,” said Laredo Kid. “I think they motivated me to be a good wrestler, you know? Like training hard. When I see all the crazy moves they do, I try to do the same, you know? And training more [to] be there one day and when I had the opportunity to be — to sign with IMPACT, it’s great, you know? Right now, it’s a dream to have this opportunity then I’m going to find the X-Division belt.” (H/t POST Wrestling.)

He first wrestled for IMPACT in 2017 through the company’s collaboration with AAA, and he has regularly competed for IMPACT since he returned to the promotion last Summer. Most recently, the former AAA World Trios Champion performed at the company’s January television tapings in Florida. There, he faced Ace Austin and Blake Christian in a three-way bout.

Laredo Kid has competed all over the wrestling world; beyond IMPACT and AAA, he has worked for GCW, AAW, and MLW, among other promotions.
