Fans have a new way to experience WWE with a new pop-up campaign from BT Sport called ‘Enter The Universe.’
On February 11, BT Sport and WWE is giving fans the chance to star in their own WWE entrance with a pop-up experience in London. Fans that can’t attend will still be able to participate, as they’ll have access to an AR filter on Snapchat and Instagram to film their own entrance videos.
The full press release from BT Sport (via Inside The Ropes’ Gary Cassidy) is below:
On Friday 11 February, BT Sport will put WWE fans at the heart of the action, giving them a chance to ‘Enter the Universe’ and star in their very own entrance moment at a pop-up event on Wembley Way in northwest London.
Running from Midday until 7pm on the day, fans who head down to the famous walkway between Wembley Park underground station and Wembley Stadium will have the opportunity to appear in their very own WWE entrance moment, complete with live commentary, entrance music, and full-scale light production.
As part of the campaign, which celebrates the excitement of WWE entrances, BT Sport has also created an augmented reality (AR) social filter allowing Instagram users to create their own WWE entrance content. The filter, which is available to use from Friday 11th February, will include graphics to create the visual impression of a WWE Superstar’s entrance along with WWE Hall of Famer Triple H’s iconic ring walk song; Motörhead’s ‘The Game’ and WWE commentator Michael Cole’s iconic audio voiceovers.
WWE Superstars Bianca Belair, Street Profits and NXT UK Tag Team Champions Moustache Mountain will also be on Wembley Way to show people how a WWE entrance is really done.
Discussing the event, WWE Superstar Belair said: “WWE entrances provide some of the best entertainment in the world. We are giving fans the chance to feel like a true WWE Superstar and I will be on hand to offer some helpful tips and tricks. I’m looking forward to seeing what our UK fans have to offer!” WWE fans can head down to the Wembley Way on Friday between 12pm and 7pm where BT Sport will be capturing the fan entrances most worthy of WWE superstardom.
