The Boogeyman Signs WWE Contract In Online Video, Thanks Vince McMahon

The Boogeyman is a WWE Legend… again?

In a video he shared on his Twitter page, The Boogeyman, also known as Marty Wright, signed a WWE contract. He also thanked McMahon in the tweet. It’s currently unclear what kind of deal the veteran signed, but a song about “legends” is playing in the video, leading to speculation that he has signed one of the company’s Legends deals offered to former in-ring talent.

It’s important to note that Boogeyman’s “new” contract might have actually been revealed a few months ago, as Wright seemingly reposted a tweet he initially shared on December 11, 2021. Boogeyman previously announced he was under a Legends deal in 2015, so this new contract that he signed in December is likely just an extension of the original deal.

Wright’s WWE journey began in 2004 when he participated in the fourth season of “Tough Enough.” As The Boogeyman, he had a memorable run with the company; most notably, he defeated Booker T and Sharmell at WrestleMania 22. Since his release in 2009, Wright has made a few appearances on WWE programming, such as RAW Legends Night in 2021, as the spooky character.

Boogeyman continues to wrestle; he worked a few dates for Southwest Wrestling Entertainment in 2021.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
