AEW’s Battle Of The Belts special is returning.
On Tuesday, All Elite Wrestling confirmed that the second Battle Of The Belts special will take place at the Curtis Culwell Center in Dallas/Fort Worth on April 15. The Battle Of The Belts event will be part of AEW’s live Rampage taping that same night, and tickets will go on sale on Friday, February 25.
It is unclear when the BOTB taping will air as AEW only announced the taping date. Keith Lee, Bryan Danielson, Hangman Adam Page, Thunder Rosa, Sammy Guevara, Britt Baker, Sting, CM Punk, Adam Cole and Jade Cargill are all being advertised for the taping. This will mark AEW’s fourth taping at the Curtis Culwell Center and the first since the Winter Is Coming Dynamite taping in December 2021.
The first Battle Of The Belts special took place on January 8, 2022 from the Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was the first of four planned special quarterly events that was part of AEW’s quarterly ‘Saturday Fight Night’ series, and it featured Sammy Guevara defeating Dustin Rhodes for the interim AEW TNT Championship, Ricky Starks defeating Matt Sydal to retain the FTW Championship, and Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D defeating Riho to retain the AEW Women’s World Championship.
