Report: Rey Fenix Expected To Miss Another Month Due To Arm Injury

Fans will have to wait a bit longer to see Rey Fenix wrestle again.

The AEW star has been out of action since the TBS premiere of AEW Dynamite, when he suffered an injury at the conclusion of the Lucha Brother’s match with Jurassic Express. The injury was later reported to be a severe arm dislocation, but it had been unclear how long Fenix would be on the shelf.

Fenix had been advertised for AAA’s Rey de Reyes show on February 19, but he was unable to compete. He briefly appeared at the event in a non-wrestling capacity, and instead of his scheduled tag team bout with Penta El Zero Miedo, Penta faced Dralistico in a singles bout. Dralistico and Dragon Lee unmasked Penta and mocked Fenix after the bout.

In an update, on the newest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that while Fenix had been targeting the AAA show for his return, he’ll remain out of action for the next month.

In his absence from AEW, Penta has been competing in singles bouts and teaming up with PAC.

WrestleZone will provide more details as they become available.
