All Elite Wrestling continues to load up its roster with renowned stars from all over the wrestling world, and a new report states that one popular name is at least backstage ahead of the February 23 episode of AEW Dynamite.
According to Fightful Select, Original Ring of Honor World Champion Jonathan Gresham is backstage. It’s unclear if he’ll appear on screen, or if his presence could indicate any plans the company might have for him. But at the very least, “The Octopus” is at the building. Though he still holds the title, Gresham has been a free agent since the week after ROH Final Battle: End of an Era. He continues to defend the gold in several promotions, and he has competed on IMPACT Wrestling programming multiple times this year.
Gresham will defend the Original ROH World Championship against AEW star Santana at TERMINUS 2 on February 24.
