reDRagon Win Battle Royale, Earn Tag Title Shot At AEW Revolution

reDragon came into the tag team battle royale on the February 23 episode of AEW Dynamite with their eyes set on a shot at the AEW Tag Team Championship. In the end, that’s exactly what they got; Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish won the bout, so they have clinched a spot in the triple threat title match at AEW Revolution.

In a bout that included the likes of Gunn Club, FTR, Dark Order, and more, it was reDragon that walked out on top, as Kyle O’Reilly ended things by tossing out both members of the Young Bucks late to complete the shocking victory.

The order of eliminations in the match was as follows:

  • Gunn Club
  • Butcher & Blade
  • Private Party
  • 2point0
  • Best Friends
  • Santana & Ortiz
  • FTR
  • Dark Order
  • Young Bucks

With the win, the duo of reDragon now will have a shot at the AEW Tag Team Championships at AEW Revolution. However, another battle royale will take place next week to determine the second challenger.

You can check out a recap of how the match ended courtesy of our play-by-play coverage:

FTR eliminates Nick Jackson. Orange Cassidy saves Trent from being eliminated by sliding from underneath the ring. Beretta gets back in and clotheslines Bobby Fish out. After a commerical break, John Silver slips out of Tully Blanchard’s grasp to eliminate Cash Wheeler. All six teams  still in contention have one man represented. Santana takes on Trent calling back to their parking lot brawl. They fight on the apron and it gets them eliminated by Matt Jackson and KOR.

Dax and KOR fight on the apron as well and it’s Bobby Fish who runs in to trip him off and eliminate FTR.

Matt and KOR gang up on Silver after Johnny delivers a flurry of offense. Matt goes to toss out John but as he does KOR tosses both of them.

WINNERS: ReDragon
