Chris Dickinson vs. Minoru Suzuki Officially Announced For Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport 8

Game Changer Wrestling and Josh Barnett continue to load up the card for Bloodsport 8.

In a tweet on February 27, Barnett confirmed a buzzworthy bout between Minoru Suzuki and Chris Dickinson for the show on March 31. Dickinson set the stage for the match at GCW Welcome to Heartbreak on Friday night, where he challenged Suzuki. Barnett, who was in the audience, responded to “The Dirty Daddy” by calling the contest a “done deal.”

In a tweet, Dickinson commented on the news by saying the bout isn’t just about his comeback from a significant injury; he’s determined to face “The King” and earn the win.

Suzuki defeated Dickinson in a brutal battle at Bloodsport 7, and he also emerged victorious when they clashed at NJPW Showdown in Philadelphia on October 16. Dickinson has been sidelined with a leg injury for the past few months; at NJPW Battle in the Valley in November, he “dislocated [his] leg out of the rear of [his] hip socket and in the process experienced an acetabulum posterior wall fracture.”

Though he was initially expected to be out for at least six months, his remarkable recovery has allowed him to the ring in time for The Collective on WrestleMania weekend.
