Powerhouse Hobbs Says Fans Can Expect ‘Beef, Beef And More Beef’ In AEW Revolution Ladder Match

Where’s the beef? In the Face Of The Revolution ladder match, it would seem.

Powerhouse Hobbs recently spoke with Barstool Sports’ Rasslin’ about AEW Revolution and the “Face Of The Revolution” ladder match he is part of. Hobbs was asked about the match featuring heavyweight names like himself, Keith Lee and Wardlow, and he said fans should expect to see plenty of “beef” on Sunday.

“You could say beef, beef, and more beef, if you want to,” said Hobbs. “I mean it’s gonna be different. Don’t expect me to do a lot of flying, I’m gonna be doing a lot of throwing. And when it’s time to climb that ladder, I’m gonna climb it and win.

“I’m gonna be holding gold very soon til the end of ‘22 into 2023,” Hobbs added. “And whenever I choose to not hold that championship, then go to another championship.

Another name recently confirmed for the match was Hobbs’ Team Taz partner Ricky Starks. Hobbs spoke about why the pairing works so well, noting that it’s been that way from the start.

“It works so well because Ricky and I are actually friends,” said Hobbs. “So Ricky’s birthday and my birthday, we’re about three weeks apart. And we got signed about a month apart. And we just gel so well, it’s like peanut butter and jelly. So I know what he’s thinking, he knows what I’m thinking, you know, can’t her better than that.

“We’ve ran into each other before AEW. But once we actually started working week after week after week with each other, it just started gelling.”

AEW Revolution takes place on Sunday, March 6 in Orlando, Florida. The winner of the Face Of The Revolution ladder match will earn a future title shot against TNT Champion Sammy Guevara.
