Gable Steveson Reveals He Is Going To WrestleMania 38

After winning his second  consecutive NCAA Division I national title in wrestling, Gable Steveson will be on-hand for WWE WrestleMania 38.  In a new interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Steveson declared his intentions to be apart of the WrestleMania festivities down in the great state of Texas.

“I plan on going to WrestleMania,” says Steveson, who should add another layer of excitement to WWE’s signature show. “That’s the first time WWE fans will see me and what I’m about. I’m going to put my heart out there.” Steveson has some worthwhile names in WWE sending him words of support.

“Paul Heyman is always like the first one to text, and that means a lot,” says Steveson, who signed an NIL deal with WWE in September. “He always reaches out and makes sure I’m good. Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque checks up on me, and so does Brock Lesnar. They’ve shown me a lot of love and respect.”

After winning his second NCAA national title, Steveson set down his wrestling shoes in the center of the mat, signifying the end of his collegiate wrestling career.

“Leaving my shoes on the mat, that’s the way I want my career to be remembered. I gave my heart to wrestling. But even now, with those shoes off, I’ll keep wrestling. It’s what I grew up doing. Even if I step away from the competition, I’ll never step away from the practice.”
