Report: Marko Stunt’s AEW Contract Will Expire Soon, He Hasn’t Been Backstage In Months

All Elite Wrestling continues to add to its star-studded roster, but as part of this growth, some of the AEW originals who don’t get used, like Marko Stunt, might be on their way out the door.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has reported that Stunt, who hasn’t been seen on-screen in AEW for several months, hasn’t been backstage at TV tapings throughout this period. Ross Sapp went on to note that creative plans for Stunt haven’t been mentioned backstage. Plus, some new merchandising designs for Jurassic Express don’t include Stunt, and he hasn’t been referenced in interviews with talent.

That being said, Ross Sapp reported that Stunt is still with the company, at least until his contract expires in May. He also cited sources who made it clear that Stunt previously expressed that he’s willing to prove himself and stay with AEW.

Stunt debuted at AEW’s inaugural pay-per-view, Double or Nothing in 2019. He subsequently formed Jurassic Express with Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus, and he had been featured alongside the duo for a while. Stunt recently returned to action on the independent scene, and he has worked a few dates for Game Changer Wrestling.

WrestleZone will provide more details as they become available.
