Edge recently turned heel ahead of his match with AJ Styles at WWE WrestleMania 38, and the two renowned stars will collide in a bitter grudge match at “The Showcase of the Immortals.”
This drastic character change for the WWE Hall of Famer could reach a new level soon, according to a new report.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has reported that WWE pitched a heel stable to Edge in an effort to enhance his presentation. One pitch that has “been talked about heavily” would pair “The Ultimate Opportunist” with a faction. The early discussions have pointed to former WWE United Champion Damian Priest as a potential member of the group. The powerhouse will compete in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on WrestleMania SmackDown on Friday night.
Ross Sapp’s report also noted that unless plans change, the faction could “could begin to happen imminently.”
