Gable Steveson Reflects On His ‘Heart-Rushing’ WWE WrestleMania 38 Experience

Gable Steveson appeared at WWE WrestleMania 38 Night Two, where he got physical for the first time in his WWE career.

The Olympic gold medalist has made a few appearances previously; Stephanie McMahon herself brought the NCAA Heavyweight Champion out to the stage on the opening night of WrestleMania 38. But on Sunday, the renowned collegiate wrestler stepped into the squared circle and tossed RAW star Chad Gable to the mat.

In a WWE Digital Exclusive, Steveson reflected on the experience by calling it a dream come true, as being in front of a crowd filled him with emotions he couldn’t describe.

“Dream come true,” said Steveson. “Hard to describe the emotions that you get, coming from amateur wrestling and collegiate wrestling and Olympic style, to coming to 70,000 people. You don’t get that. You get that with WWE, though.”

As for his showdown with Gable, Steveson stated that it was “heart-rushing” because he didn’t know whether he’d be called into the ring. Once he did, and the other Gable got in his face, he had to handle the situation by teaching the Alpha Academy standout a lesson.

“Heart-rushing,” said Steveson. “You know I’m sitting on the sideline, and I’m like, ‘Am I gonna get called in? Am I not?’ I have no clue, I don’t even know what I’m doing. So I go in there, Chad gives me the look and you know what I gotta do, I gotta throw him. And I gotta celebrate with my team, RK-Bro and the Street Profits too.”

In previous interviews, Steveson noted that his WWE career will start around WrestleMania time, so it seems safe to say fans will see him again sooner rather than later.
