Becky Lynch On Her WrestleMania Defeat: When I Lose, I Come Back Stronger

Becky Lynch participated in one of the best matches at WrestleMania 38, a tough loss to Bianca Belair that saw her lose her WWE RAW Women’s Championship. Speaking during a recent appearance on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast, Lynch lamented the loss and blamed it on Belair’s elaborate entrance.

“Well you know what, here’s the thing, right,” Lynch said. “Last night, I go out there to the ring. I go out by myself, like I always do, always by myself. And here she comes with a freaking army. An army. I was by myself. She has an army. Of course that’s gonna throw me off my game. I didn’t have an army, which is why I lost…I didn’t know. Maybe somebody was gonna come along with a trombone, hit me in the back of the head. If I had an army, that’s what I would do.”

When asked if Lynch thinks that if she could beat Belair in a one-on-one setting without any distractions, she was positive she could,; “Big Time Becks” cited her remarkably quick victory over her at SummerSlam last year.

“I beat her in 26 seconds,” said Lynch. “I beat her in 26 seconds. It shouldn’t have lasted so long, and that was only because it got in my head, the army. But I dominated her. I don’t know if you watched, but I dominated her. The next time, I got her. ”

Lynch also briefly touched on how failing isn’t always a bad thing, as she emphasized how, in the past, she has always come back better and stronger than ever.

“When I lose, I really win because I come back stronger,” Lynch said. “Yeah, that’s what happens. This is a good thing. When I lose, I come back stronger. It’s happened before. It happened before. It happened at SummerSlam 2018. And then I became The Man, then I became the biggest thing in the entire industry. It happened at Royal Rumble 2019. I lost my match early on in the night. Then I came back and won the Royal Rumble. This is good, I’m gonna come back stronger than ever.”
