Tag Title Match, MJF Bout, And More Set For 4/13 AEW Dynamite

Jurassic Express will put the AEW World Tag Team Championship on the line against reDRagon on the April 13 episode of AEW Dynamite.

The two duos have been feuding for several weeks as part of the war between Hangman Page and Adam Cole. Jurassic Express defended the titles against reDRagon and The Young Bucks in a three-way bout at AEW Revolution, but Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly haven’t gotten a title shot in a traditional tag team bout. For this reason, they’ve remained focused on the champions, and they even store the gold before Jurassic Express took it back.

Elsewhere on the show, MJF will look to handle business himself. On the April 6 episode, MJF’s stablemate in The Pinnacle, Shawn Spears faced Capt. Shawn Dean, who previously defeated MJF via disqualification due to the interference of CM Punk earlier this year. In this case, the arrival of Wardlow, who stormed to the ring and manhandled security guards all the while, distracted Spears and allowed Dean to get the win.

Later in the show, MJF tried to appease Spears, who wanted revenge on Wardlow, by vowing to beat Dean so bad he’d beat a Purple Heart next week. “The Salt of the Earth” also declared that there would be twice as many security guards to prevent Wardlow from interfering next week. But based on the way MJF has tormented Wardlow, it’s fair to assume “Mr. Mayhem” will show up regardless.

Finally, Eddie Kingston, Santana, and Ortiz will battle the Jericho Appreciation Society next week. On the April 6 episode, Kingston and his allies attacked JAS and sent them running off into the night. The trio then came to the ring, where Kingston vowed to fight JAS “on sight” before he challenged the stable to a fight next week. He told them that there would be a battle, whether JAS accepts the challenge or not. The broadcast team subsequently confirmed the bout.

Kingston defeated Jericho at AEW Revolution, and “The Influencer” subsequently betrayed his Inner Circle stablemates, Santana and Ortiz during the formation of the JAS. Jericho’s stable later beat down Kingston, Santana, and Ortiz, so the latter trio will surely be hungry for revenge.

The updated card is as follows:

  • AEW World Tag Team Championship: Jurassic Express (c) vs. reDRagon
  • MJF vs. Capt. Shawn Dean
  • Jericho Appreciation Society (Chris Jericho, Jake Hager, and Daniel Garcia) vs. Eddie Kingston, Santana, and Ortiz
