Rey Mysterio was conspicuous by his absence from WWE RAW on Monday night.
The previous week, Mahaan finally came to RAW and laid out both Rey Mysterio and his son, Dominik in a brutal assault; WWE subsequently announced that the powerhouse would face Rey on the April 11 episode. But the former World Heavyweight Champion missed the April 11 episode; he was scheduled to face Veer Mahaan in a singles match, but Veer dominated Dominik instead.
In an update, on the newest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio overnight, Dave Meltzer reported that Rey was unable to attend the show due to a “medical issue.” He didn’t elaborate on what the specific issue is.
Mahaan defeated Dominik and subsequently attacked him after the match by locking him in the Cervical Clutch until officials broke it up. Dominik was then stretchered out of the arena and taken away in an ambulance.
