Did The Rock just tease that he will face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39?
Last night on the NBC sitcom Young Rock, a young Dwayne Johnson began his journey to becoming a professional wrestler. During this episode, Dwayne was watching the Royal Rumble with other members of his family. One of them was a young kid who kept wanting to wrestle Dwayne in the living room; this child was revealed to be none other than Roman Reigns. This prompted The Rock (portrayed by Uli Latukefu) to say that a match between them was too big for a living room and could only happen at WrestleMania.
It’s clear that this line wasn’t in the show by accident, as it’s been reported for quite a few years now that WWE wants to do The Rock vs. Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. With WrestleMania 39 coming to Los Angeles next year, many members of the WWE Universe believe that is when the match between these two men will take place.
If there were people out there who just assumed these were just rumors, last night’s episode of Young Rock should confirm that these reports are a lot more than just standard rumors.
