Report: AEW Is Tentatively Targeting A September Release For Its Console Game

The All Elite Wrestling video game is on its way.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, the tentative release date, as of this week, is set for late September. Ross Sapp notes that there’s “plenty of work to be done”, but a 2022 release has been the plan for some time now.

Fightful previously reported that the game, which is being produced by Yuke’s, will involve a story mode and that there’s a deadline for some theme songs, so the initial playable roster might not feature all of the company’s recent signings, let alone those that come in the next few months. The September release is a tentative target, and Fightful also noted that a publisher is involved, though it hasn’t been announced yet.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.

Former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega has said that the game is in “very capable hands.” His comments are available here.
