Report: WWE WrestleMania 38 Breaks Viewership Record in India, 56.1 Million Viewers Watched It On Sony Sports Network

WWE WrestleMania 38 was the most “stupendous” edition of the event of all time, and it continues to break records.

WWE previously hyped up the new highs this year’s show set, and a new report from BARC, courtesy of India.com, has revealed that WrestleMania 38 was a huge hit in India. The report notes that 56.1 million people in India watched the event; this figure is up 29% from last year.

In WWE’s previous announcement, the company reported that WrestleMania 38 was the “highest-grossing and most-attended event in company history.” More information is available here.

This year’s edition of “The Showcase of the Immortals” featured what WWE billed as “the biggest WrestleMania match of all time”, as Brock Lesnar faced Roman Reigns in a Championship Unification Match. Plus, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin returned to the ring and faced Kevin Owens, among other buzzworthy bouts.
