Roxanne Perez Makes WWE NXT 2.0 Debut On 4/19, Beats Jacy Jayne

Roxanne Perez, formerly known as Rok-C, made her WWE NXT 2.0 debut on the April 19 episode of the show.

First, a video package introduced the newcomer and highlighted her passion for WWE video games. An on-screen graphic noted that she’d be making her debut next week. Then, Perez appeared in an interview and described how she’s been working her whole life to reach this point. She made it clear that she’s excited to be on the rainbow brand before Toxic Attraction interrupted her. Mandy Rose, Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne told Perez that any butterflies she was feeling were natural because she was standing next to the trio. Perez didn’t take too kindly to the “advice”, leading the titleholders to suggest that Perez’s debut should be moved up a week.

Later in the show, Perez faced Jayne in a singles match, with Rose and Dolin watching from ringside. Perez held her own in the opening minutes, and once Jayne gained the upper hand, a helpful distraction tipped the scales back in her favor. Wendy Choo popped up on the video screen and showed off a remodeled Toxic Lounge; she left it in a state of disarray. The sight took Jayne’s eye off the ball, and Perez capitalized by hitting the Code Red for the win.

WWE officially signed Rok-C in March, as she was announced as a member of the newest Performance Center class. She is a former Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion, and she was trained by WWE Hall of Famer Booker T at his Reality of Wrestling school.
