Riddle vs. Jey Uso Set For 4/22 WWE SmackDown, Contract Signing Also Announced

WWE continues to fill out the card for the April 22 episode of WWE SmackDown.

Riddle will face Jey Uso in a clash between two halves of the RAW and SmackDown Tag Team Championship, respectively. This clash will be the latest step in the feud between the two teams, as RK-Bro and The Usos continue to gear up for their Championship Unification Match at WWE WrestleMania Backlash.

The official preview, courtesy of WWE’s website, is as follows:

As their Winner Take All Championship Unification Match for WrestleMania Backlash rapidly approaches, Riddle looks to put RK-Bro on his back and go for two-for-two against SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos in single competition.

The Original Bro already showed why he and his partner Randy Orton are Raw Tag Team Champions after hitting a stunning RKO out of nowhere during an attempted Samoan Drop to pin Jimmy Uso this past Friday. Riddle will look to keep RK-Bro’s momentum rolling when he goes one-on-one with Jey Uso.

Can Jimmy do what his brother could not and deliver a win to The Bloodline or will Riddle stand tall for the second straight week? Find out Friday night on SmackDown at 8/7 C on FOX

Plus, WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey will sign the contract for their “I Quit” Match at WrestleMania Backlash. Flair previously turned down Rousey’s challenge for the bout, but WWE officials later confirmed the match.

From WWE:

Despite WWE Management making the “I Quit” Match at WrestleMania Backlash official against Charlotte Flair’s wishes, The SmackDown Women’s Champion will still sit down across from Ronda Rousey and sign on the dotted line for their upcoming title match.

Will there be any fireworks between the two opponents when they sit down in the ring together for the first time since WrestleMania? Tune in Friday night on SmackDown at 8/7 C on FOX to find out.

The updated card is as follows:

  • Riddle vs. Jey Uso
  • Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair contract signing
  • Lumberjack Match: Drew McIntyre vs. Sami Zayn
  • Madcap Moss vs. Angel

WrestleZone will have full coverage of the show as it airs.
