New ‘Jackass’ Series In Development At Paramount+

It looks as if Jackass is borrowing from a WWE tagline and the series will live on then, now and forever.

According to VarietyJackass will return to the small screen with a new series for the Paramount+ app. The news comes after the success of Jackass Foreverthe fourth film in the Jackass series, that saw a #1 debut at the box office in February.

“Based off the success of ‘Jackass Forever,’ we’re working with the creators to continue the partnership with a new series, bringing even more ridiculous antics straight to Paramount+,” Paramount Global CEO Bob Bakish said during the company’s Q1 earnings call on Tuesday.

Jackass Forever featured original cast members Johnny Knoxville, Chris Pontius and Wee Man alongside newcomers like Jasper Dolphin, who all appeared on WWE TV this year to promote the film and Knoxville’s memorable WrestleMania match with Sami Zayn.

Knoxville was a recent guest on WWE’s The Bump and reflected on his match with Sami Zayn and said he’s really happy that he made Zayn miserable by beating him.

“That makes me so happy. It makes me so happy that I can help be responsible for the worst day of his life. Nothing makes me happier than that,” Knoxville said. “God, just to have the guys there — Wee Man, [Chris] Pontius, [Jeff] Tremaine, Dark Shark and Jasper, it just made it very special.”

Knoxville said he accomplished his goal of messing with Zayn, but still feels like he still has a bit left in the tank as far as his adversary is concerned.

“I don’t think I went too far, I think there’s still a long distance I can travel down that road,” Knoxville said, “so I was just beginning to have my fun with Sami. It’s the gift that keeps on giving.”

Jackass will ride once again… I bet Sami Zayn is thrilled.
