WWE NXT 2.0 Results (5/3/22): Spring Breakin’

NXT Champion Bron Breakker is seen warming up backstage.

Sit-Down with Tony D’Angelo and Santos Escobar

Mobster music plays as Santos Escobar and Legado del Fantasma wait for Tony D’Angelo shows up. “The Don of NXT” arrives late to the meeting and tells Escobar he called the meeting before things escalated and got ugly. He says he’s willing to look past the ways Escobar has disrespected him. Santos says he doesn’t respect Tony as a businessman. He tells “The Don” he offered him a courtesy, and D’Angelo responded with low-ball offers, disrespectful actions and attack. Tony says he’s not playing games, as there’s enough business for both of them in NXT 2.0. Santos responds by saying they’re at different points in the journey.

He says maybe there’s a way they can come together if Tony sits back and follows his lead. Tony says he doesn’t follow anybody. Santos offers a truce, and “The Don of NXT” apologizes. Escobar apologies for understanding where Tony is coming from. They agree that peace is best for business, and they make a deal. Thee two men drink to it, and Tony says he’ll see him around.

Backstage, The Viking Raiders preview their match with the Creed Brothers. Erik says the Creeds have never been in a battle with someone like them. Ivar says prepare the battlefield because the raid is here. Pretty Deadly interrupts the interview and take credit for softening up the Creed Brothers. The Viking Raiders say they’d be happy to shift gears and turn their attention to Pretty Deadly.

In a promo, Joe Gacy says we’re on the precipice of a new beginning. He tells everyone they should be afraid of what happens if he doesn’t win, but he vows to change the world tonight.

Natalya and Lash Legend vs. Nikkita Lyons and Cora Jade

Jade and Legend start the bout. Legend overpowers Jade, and she tries to fight back, but Natalya and “LL” double-team her. Jade goes for some pins on Natalya and gains the upper hand. Jade and Lyons hit a double-team move on Natalya. They feel each other out and trade holds. Legend tags in and suplexes Lyons. Both women go crashing to the floor, and they’re both down ahead of a commercial. Back in the ring, Jade tags in. A distraction from Natalya helps Legend regain the advantage. The heels gang up on Jade and isolate her for a few minutes. Natalya suplexes Jade and stops her from tagging Lyons.

Legend maintains the advantage, but Jade rallies and tags Lyons. The fan-favorite clears house with a flurry of offense. She gets a two count on a pin attempt on Natalya. Legends tags in and takes the fight to Lyons. Natalya accidentally kicks her partner, and Lyons makes the most of it by suplexing Legend. Jade hits a diving senton for the win.

Winners: Cora Jade and Nikkita Lyons

In another vignette, Tatum Paxley discusses how the power of visualization has been her map to success. She discusses power-lifting and says she visualizes herself winning the Women’s Breakout Tournament.

In a vignette, Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne go to the beach and discuss Mandy Rose’s mishap. Wendy Choo and Roxanne Perez show up and steal their shoes and their keys while they’re swimming. Wendy and Roxanne run away and make them run across hot pavement.

The Viking Raiders vs. The Creed Brothers

The Viking Raiders quickly gain the upper hand and showcase their excellent chemistry. They work together and double-team Julius Creed. The Viking Experience only earns them a two count. Brutus tags in and rallies. He plants Erik with a gutwrench suplex. The Creeds double-team Erik, but Ivar tags in and crushes Brutus with a diving splash. The Viking Raiders regain the advantage and double-team Brutus, who fights back with some stiff strikes. He trades blows with Erik and suplexes him. Julius and Ivar tag in, and the Creed Brother takes Erik down with a slam. Brutus tags back in and slams Erik. The latter blasts Julius with a knee to the head. Ivar powerbombs Brutus for a two count.

Brutus kicks out of some double-team offense from the Viking Raiders. Julius tags in and gets squashed with a modified hip attack. He superplexes Ivar but eats a kick to the face. Ivar hits a diving leg drop for a two count. Brutus tackles Ivar out of the ring. Roderick Strong runs in and attacks Erik, and Julius pins him with a clothesline.

Winners: The Creed Brothers

Strong and The Creed Brothers argue after the match; they’re unhappy with his interference.

Escobar approaches AJ Galante in the parking lot and says Tony D’Angelo is lucky to have someone like him; losing him would hurt Tony. Escobar attacks Galante, and Legado del Fantasma abducts him.

In a vignette, Alba Fyre says the smallest spark can lead to a big fire. She says she’ll ignite her rebirth next week.

Backstage, Josh Briggs vows to avenge Von Wagner’s attack on Brooks Jensen. The doctor wonders why his right hand is stronger than his left and estimates that he’ll be back in 6-8 weeks.

NXT Championship: Bron Breakker (c) vs. Joe Gacy

Breaker takes the fight to Gacy, who tries to avoid the champion by running out of the ring. The champion continues to maintain the advantage, but Gacy blasts him with a shot to the face. Breakker sends Gacy to the outside. The challenger gains the upper hand and grounds the champion in the ring by trapping him in a body-scissors. Gacy suplexes Breakker and continues to attack his mid-section. Gacy continues to dominate and drills Breakker with some headbutts. The champion rallies with some shoulder tackles and a clothesline. Gacy plants him with an inverted DDT/ A masked man is seen standing in the crowd.

Breakker hits a diving bulldog for a two count. Gacy fires back with an Alabama Slam and a powerbomb for a two count of his own. Breakker floors Gacy with a Spear and pins him.

Winner and still NXT Champion: Bron Breakker
