The May 11 episode of AEW Dynamite is shaping up to be an action-packed show.
On the May 4 episode, Jungle Boy told FTW Champion Ricky Starks he wanted a shot at the FTW Championship before he gave “The Stroke Daddy” and Powerhouse Hobbs a shot at the tag titles. Starks accepted the challenge and vowed to show Jungle Boy what a real champion looks like next Wednesday. Starks and Hobbs have been gaining momentum as a tag team in recent weeks, and they could earn a chance to challenge Jurassic Express for the gold if Starks wins this singles bout.

Elsewhere on the show, MJF and Wardlow will sign the contract for their looming bout. “The Salt of the Earth” agreed to face “Mr. Mayhem” after the powerhouse beat W. Morrissey on the May 4 episode. Wardlow has been determined to free himself from his contract with MJF ever since he turned on his employer at AEW Revolution. The Dynamite Diamond Ring told Wardlow that he’d reveal his conditions for the match in a contract signing next week on AEW Dynamite.

Plus, the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament will finally begin. The company has been holding qualifying bouts for the bracket for the past several weeks, and the full bracket was revealed on the May 4 episode. On Wednesday, Jeff Hardy will face Darby Allin, and Dax Harwood will battle Adam Cole.
Plus, CM Punk will face Long Island native John Silver, hoping to gain more momentum ahead of his title bout with AEW World Champion Hangman Page at AEW Double or Nothing.
