Dave Bautista Says Goodbye To Drax After Guardians Of The Galaxy 3 Wraps, Thanks Triple H For ‘Everything’

Dave Bautista‘s journey as Drax the Destroyer has come to an end.

Filming for the third Guardians of the Galaxy film has officially wrapped, and it also signifies the final time that Dave Bautista will play Drax in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Bautista posted a photo featuring himself, director James Gunn, and castmates Sean Gunn (who plays Kraglin Obfonteri and does Rocket Raccoon’s motion capture), Pom Klementieff (Mantis), Chris Pratt (Star-Lord) and Karen Gillan (Nebula), and said that he’s still searching for the words to sum up what the role meant to him.

“Haven’t found the words yet. It ended so suddenly and I was on to my next film before I could process it all. End of a journey that changed my life. #guardiansofthegalaxy #vol3 #GoodbyeDrax #DreamChaser #DreamMachine,” Bautista wrote.

In addition to saying goodbye to Drax, Dave Bautista also took some time to acknowledge some of the kind words sent his way, namely Triple H, as WWE looked back on the 20th anniversary of his debut.

“In the 20 years since @DaveBautista was first introduced to the @WWE Universe, he has never stopped growing and evolving. A main event player, multi-time champion and Hollywood star, one thing has stayed the same: he never stopped chasing his dreams. Congratulations Dave! #Proud,” Triple H wrote.

Bautista responded to Triple H’s message by saying it meant “everything” to him.
