Natalya Praises Fit Finlay For Laying The Foundation For Women In WWE

Tuesday’s episode of NXT 2.0 had the women’s roster in the spotlight, but Natalya took time to honor the man that laid the groundwork for them in WWE.

Natalya competed on the May 10 episode of NXT 2.0 and posted the following after her match, praising Fit Finlay for the work he’s done in WWE to push the women’s roster to new heights.

“Last night’s @WWENXT was a very special show dominated by women. The man who laid down the foundation for the women in @WWE to have what we have today is Fit Finlay,” Natalya wrote. “What a privilege it was to work with him last night and be a part of the magic he creates. @ringfox1”

This week’s episode of NXT featured an NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship match, a Women’s Breakout Tournament First Round Match between Nikkita Lyons and Arianna Grace, Alba Fyre vs. Amari Miller and a mixed tag team match, plus Natalya facing off with Cora Jade in the main event.

Finlay’s latest run with WWE started in 2012 when he started working as a producer; he was one of the employees furloughed by the company in April 2020, but returned to work in November of that year.

Natalya recently shared that she borrowed Rey Mysterio’s boots to compete in at WrestleMania 38. While she didn’t go into detail where her boots were, Natalya was still grateful for Mysterio’s kind gesture.

“Thank you for lending me your wrestling boots for #WrestleMania @reymysterio. The boots are one of a kind customs from @Pirma_Oficial — and REY MYSTERIO is a one of a kind person for always helping his friends. The best!!!!! *pray hands emoji*,” Natalya tweeted.
