Adam Cole has advanced in The Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament, as he defeated Dax Harwood in a quarterfinals match on the May 11 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Cole and Harwood fought to a standstill early on, but eventually Cole was able to come out on top, taking down Harwood thanks to some late heroics. After being thrown onto the floor, Harwood nearly was counted out to end the match, but managed to get back into the ring. However, Cole was waiting, and locked in the Sharpshooter shortly afterwards, forcing Harwood to tap out.
Cole will now face the winner of Jeff Hardy in the next round on the May 18 episode of AEW Dynamite.
