WATCH: HOOK Confronts CM Punk, Makes Him Tap Out After 5/11 AEW Dynamite Taping In Long Island

CM Punk asked them to send HOOK, and he got a little more than he asked for.

Danhausen and HOOK finally came to an understanding on the May 11 episode of AEW Dynamite, and it looks like the alliance is already working out. After the show went off the air (and Rampage was taped), a segment between HOOK, Danhausen and the Pepsi Man took place in front of the Long Island crowd.

Danhausen and Punk were ringside and it looked as if the very nice, very evil one was about to curse Punk, but HOOK showed up in the ring behind him. Punk begged HOOK to back down, but HOOK instead hit him with a T-Bone suplex and made him tap out to his Redrum submission.

Danhausen and HOOK finally got on the same page after the former’s in-ring debut on Dynamite on Wednesday night. Danhausen lost to Tony Nese on the show, and was then subject to a post-match beatdown courtesy of ‘Smart’ Mark Sterling. HOOK ran out for the save and they finally shook hands.

It was then confirmed that HOOK & Danhausen will team up and face Nese & Sterling on the Double or Nothing Buy-In.

As for Punk, he endeared himself to the Long Island crowd that loves him so much by wearing a John Tavares jersey to the ring for his match against John Silver. Tavares was a long-time New York Islanders player that left for the Toronto Maple Leafs in a free agency deal in 2018. CM Punk will face off with ‘Hangman’ Adam Page for the AEW World Championship at Double Or Nothing.
