Gang Warfare Match Set For AEW Double Or Nothing, Updated Card

Chris Jericho and Eddie Kingston will collide on opposite sides of a 10-man tag team match at AEW Double or Nothing.

Jericho and Kingston have been feuding for the past few months, and “The Mad King” defeated the veteran at AEW Revolution. Jericho subsequently betrayed his Inner Circle stablemates, Ortiz and Santana, and formed the Jericho Appreciation Society. Since then, the two teams have been engaged in a heated rivalry. They’ve brawled on several occasions, but the JAS have often enjoyed the advantage because they outnumber Kingston and his allies.

Last week, the Blackpool Combat Club joined forces with the trio to combat Jericho’s faction. On the May 18 episode of AEW Dynamite, after Jericho insulted each of his foes by taking harsh shots at them, he set the stage for a match between the two sides.

He was about to make the challenge for the third Stadium Stampede match, but Jon Moxley cut him off. He refused to get dragged into Jericho’s “sports entertainment vortex” and made it clear that he wanted to have a fight in the live arena instead. The former AEW World Champion said it will be an Anything Goes Match between the two “gangs.” He stated that they could call it whatever they wanted, such as Gang Warfare. Moxley also described how the clash will be a battle between sports entertainment and wrestling.

When Kingston said he wanted to face Jericho’s stable on the spot, “The Wizard” chose to leave the arena instead.

The updated card for AEW Double or Nothing is as follows:

  • AEW World Championship: Hangman Page (c) vs. CM Punk
  • AEW Women’s World Championship: Thunder Rosa (c) vs. Serena Deeb
  • Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Finals (Men’s)
  • Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Finals (Women’s)
  • AEW World Tag Team Championship: Jurassic Express (c) vs. Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland vs. Ricky Starks and Powerhouse Hobbs
  • The Buy In: Danhausen and HOOK vs. Tony Nese and “Smart” Mark Sterling
