Killer Kross Returning To MLW, First Five Battle Riot Participants Confirmed

Killer Kross is returning to MLW with a future world title shot in his sights.

This week’s episode of MLW Fusion saw the first five participants for the Battle Riot match revealed. The following names will be entering the match, set to take place on June 23 in New York City:

  • Lince Dorado
  • Marshall Von Erich
  • Alex Kane
  • Calvin Tankman
  • Killer Kross

Kross will make his first appearance for MLW since the Superfight tapings that took place in Charlotte in February. Lince Dorado made his MLW debut at the company’s recent Kings Of Colosseum television tapings in Philadelphia.

Battle Riot is a 40-man match where wrestlers are eliminated by either pinfall, submission, or going over the top rope. The winner of the Battle Riot match will receive a future title shot for the MLW World Heavyweight Championship.

Killer Kross is also set to enter The Wrestling Showcase in September. During a recent interview with Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux, WrestleZone revealed that Kross would face Tony Nese in the tournament and Kross commented on his opponent’s skill (and fate).

“I met Tony Nese back in NXT and I was already familiar with his work prior to having anything to do with WWE. I always knew that we were going to be in the ring together at some point, and it’s actually pretty interesting that it’s going to be [at The Wrestling Showcase]. I’ve always said, honestly, Tony Nese is a guy that nobody should be sleeping on,” Kross noted. “This is the part where people are like, ‘Ah, he’s going to put him over and speak really highly of him…’ No, for real, I think he’s on the level of Kenny Omega, he’s a guy that could carry a company, a guy that could main event. He’s a guy that could do 30 [minutes] or an hour in a ring and barely break a sweat.”
